Read Proverbs 30:18-19
“There are three things that are too amazing for me,
four that I do not understand:
19 the way of an eagle in the sky,
the way of a snake on a rock,
the way of a ship on the high seas,
and the way of a man with a young woman.
For the ancient wiseman, Agur, there was no explanation for these things. How an eagle flew or a snake slithered blew his mind.
These days scientists and teachers have explained the aerodynamics that allow for a bird to soar. They can explain every part of the hormonal attraction between a young man and a woman. We know why ships sail. Sometimes, our ability to explain things robs us of the wonder of them.
But the fact that something can be explained makes it no less awesome. Can you imagine the mind of God which could invent the skeletal-muscular structure needed to make a snake slither? What genius could invent flight and buoyancy? There is amazing wonder in the world around us.
Don't worry too much, there is plenty we still don't understand in the natural world. If you are looking for something to have your mind blown by, try googling "Quarks."
Let's be a bit more like king Agur and revel a bit in the awesomeness of what God has done.
